Our letters and digraphs

Use the sheet to practise saying the letter name, the sound the letter makes and think of a word that starts with that sound. You can also show someone at home the action that goes with each sound.

  1. Hi Room 5 this is from everyone in Room 6 at Kaniere School. We had a go at doing the actions and sounds for the letters. Some of us think the 'n' sound with the plane is the best and some think the 's' sound with the snake is the best too. We were surprised we could still remember all of the sounds.

    1. Thanks Room 6. Don't be surprised you could remember all the sounds because you use them all the time when you read and write. You all use them now - but they have turned into sounds you know automatically. Ka pai Ruma Ono. We are getting very good with our sounds in Ruma Rima too!!
