Room 5 Dollars

This term in Room 5 we are working hard so that we can earn Room 5 dollars. We are awarded Room 5 dollars for many different things - offering to help, using manners, great reading or writing and for many other things. We are collecting all our dollars so that at the end of the year we can bid for different things in a blind auction. Each week we deposit our dollars in our Room 5 vault where it is kept safe and secure. Here we are with some of the Room 5 dollars we have earnt.

Each week we have some specific things to focus on. Here are our goals for Week 4 that will help us to earn Room 5 Dollars if we met them.

Week 2 and Week 3's Trophy Winners

Well done to the Trophy winners for the last 2 weeks. Jasper and Haki were the trophy winners for Week 2. Great work both of you.

Vinny brought his baby goat to school

Thanks Vinny for bringing your baby goat into school to visit. We all thought 'Everest' was a very cute kid. Thanks for sharing some information about her with us. She was only 3 days old. We are looking forward to having lots of visits from Everest as she grows.

The Rocket Writers for Week 3 were.......

Charleigh and Harvey. Charleigh got the Star for writing the most words and Harvey was awarded the Star for making the most progress. Great job you two. Harvey wrote 7 more words than the previous time. Your rockets are rocketing towards space.

Hannah was our 'Star is Born' for Week 2

Hannah was our Star is Born for Week 2. Room 5 knew lots of things about you Hannah and were very proud of the progress and achievements you have gained since beginning school. We enjoyed writing your poem for you.

Ed and Hilary went to Lucy's for the weekend

What a great weekend Ed and Hilary had at Lucy's house. They would have been very excited about catching up with Tattybogle again and he sure did look happy looking after your veggie garden Lucy. You must have really tired them out as they have hardly said a word since they arrived back at school. Next time when you are going to visit Nana and Poppa whitebaiting you will have to take a net for Ed and Hilary to see if they can catch some themselves. Room 5 would love some whitebait patties for morning tea. Thanks for looking after them really well Lucy.

Room 5's Trophy Winners for the 1st week back were........

Renny, Ben and Harvey. Renny was awarded the Trophy for great work with her reading and writing. Ben and Harvey received their trophies for both having a fabulous 1st week at school as big '5 year olds' and being super learners in Room 5. Well done to the three of you. Unfortunately Renny was not able to make the photo and although Ben and Harvey were very excited about the trophies they almost look a bit stunned in this photo.

Rocket Writing Stars for Week 1 of Term 4

Congratulations to Shae and Charleigh who were the Rocket Writing Stars for Room 5 this week. Shae got the Star for Making the Most Progress and Charleigh got the Star for being the Leading Rocket. Have a competition with those at home to practise your rocket writing. Who is going to get the Stars this week??

Renny was our Star Is Born

Renny was our Star Is Born at the end of last term. She had a wonderful display of photos and special things and was able to share these with the class. Thanks Renny you were awesome!!
