Thank you so much Jed for having Ed and Hilary for the weekend. You certainly gave them a weekend of fun and adventure. Thanks for sharing your photos with us. Ed and Hilary are 2 lucky teddies!!!

Our Recent Class Photo

On the last Friday of school before the holidays we held an ANZAC Service at school. We each made a poppy to wear and we painted poppies for the school Wreath that Naomi made. The Wreath is one way we could remember those soldiers who went to war for our country. Here is a photo of Room 5 with the wreath before the Service was held.

Room 5 was able to lay the Wreath beside the cross at the Service.

Vinny along with Liam and Elizabeth read a poem about the Poppies and Anzac Day. Super job Vinny, we were all very proud of you.

The Trophies for Week 11 were awarded to .........

Charleigh and Hannah. Well done to Charleigh and Hannah who both got the trophies for the last week of the Term. Charleigh has made a fantastic start to school and Hannah has been working so hard on her phonics and making lots of the sounds that she has been asked. Ka pai - I'm very proud of both of you. Here is Charleigh pictured with her trophy. Unfortunately Hannah escaped too quickly at the end of the day and I wasn't able to get a photo of her with the trophy.

Room 5's Rocket Stars for Week 11

Lucy was once again the Leading Rocket on the last week of the Term. She wrote 26 words. Congratulations also to Jed who got the star for Making the Most Progress. Our Junior Swimming Sports

Last Friday we held our Junior Swimming Sports. Room 5 were fantastic. After waiting very patiently it was finally our turn. Here are some photos of us in action.

The Star Rocket Writers this week were.......

Congratulations to Lucy and Charleigh who were Room 5's Star 'Rocket Writers' this week. Here they are holding on to their rocket writing. Well done girls, what a super effort.

Lucy got the star for writing the most words. She was the Leading Rocket and Charleigh got the star for making the most progress. Here are their rockets.

A weekend for Ed and Hilary at Olivia's

Opening of our new Kaniere School Library

On March 22nd our new library at school was opened. Charleigh and Olivia were lucky enough to help cut the ribbon to celebrate the opening of the new library because they were the youngest pupils at school. Here are some photos of the ribbon being cut.

We all came to school dressed as a book character. Here is a class photo of us including a photo with Mrs Hickford who was dressed as Mrs Wishy Washy. Mrs Scott was Smarypants the clown from the story we had read the previous week.

Look Who Got the Trophies this Week!!

Room 5 are rocketing along with their Rocket Writing

Wow, I am so impressed with the fantastic rocket writers in Room 5. Everyone made some great progress this week and I am so proud of you all. Lucy was our Leading Rocket this week and Vinny got the star for making the most progress. He wrote 10 more words than last time. Look at how proud Lucy and Vinny are with the stars they got on their rockets.

Jed also did a great job with his rocket writing this week writing 7 more words than last time. Here he is with his great rocket writing. Go Jed!!
