Looking at Worms

On Friday we used the magnifying lenses to look closely at worms. We could see all the segments on their body and we tried to look for the little hairs that help to grip onto the soil. A worm moves by using these fine hairs and strong muscles. We also learnt that worm poos are called castings and these castings help our soil which helps out plants to grow. We had a go at drawing what we could see.

Opal and Olivia. Opal got the Star for writing the most words - 55, WOW!! Great work Opal and to think that only 15 weeks ago you could write a couple of words. PE on Thursday

Room 5 always looks forward to Helen coming on Thursday for PE. This week we played toilet tag which we all enjoyed and then we tried to control the soccer ball close to our feet. We loved it!!
